A massive film festival is headed to Dufferin County.
The Dufferin Film Festival (DFF) will premier August 9th and 10th, 2024.
Part of the launch of such an event will be the DFF hosting a Headwaters Region community-wide screenwriting contest.
Those wanting apply can send in their micro film scripts of five minutes or less until December 31st.
After that, two winners will be chosen and announced in February 2024.
One winner will be picked from the youth category of ages 12 to 18 while the other winner will come from an all ages category.
Meanwhile the DFF will host two free writing workshops led by Writer and Director Tristan Barrocks.
These workshops will be held Friday, November 3rd at Streams Community Hub in Shelburne and Wednesday, November 15th at the Orangeville Public Library.
