A number of changes are coming to Ontario schools starting in September.
Students heading back to class in the fall will explore a new language curriculum, a new technology course, and learn about mental health.
Mental Health is being added for Grades 7 and 8 as part of the Health and Phys Ed curriculum.
It was also announced that math curriculum will be improved by deploying “Math Action Teams” to schools to help students.
Students from Grade 1 to 9 will learn phonics, cursive writing, digital literacy, critical thinking and more, and some teachers are to be hired to spend some time one-on-one with students to improve their reading skills.
