There was a few disappointed residents in Dundalk, who didn’t quite catch the raising of the top of the new water tower.
The Township of Southgate had planned a ceremony to watch the process, starting at 11 am Wednesday May 10th.
But, the water tower bowl was raised much quicker than they thought it would, so some residents didn’t get to see it happen.
Township officials say their ad for the event was based on information initially provided to them, but they now know the bowl raising happens fast, and securing it at the top takes the most time.
There is still much work to complete to get the water tower operational.
An Official Grand Opening of the water tower will take place later this year.
