A snow squall warning is in effect for the region today.
Environment Canada is warning that 5-10 cm of snow is expected to fall, which could make any type of travel difficult.
The snow will ease to scattered flurries this afternoon.
Lake effect flurries are expected to develop tonight with the potential for snow squalls, which may lead to additional significant snowfall tonight mainly for regions near Lake Huron and Georgian Bay.
Roads and walkways will be difficult to navigate because of snow accumulation and mild temperatures.
Visibility is expected to be reduced at times due to snow fall and drifting snow.
If you must travel, allow extra time and always remember to drive for conditions.
