Nottawasaga OPP have charged a man with insurance fraud in Tottenham.
Authorities say the victim met the accused, an insurance broker in 2018 to get insurance for a vehicle.
Since then money was sent through E-Transfer on a regular basis.
However, through conversations with a different company, the victim found out the vehicle hadn’t been insured since 2019.
A second victim came forward a short time later leading to the investigation.
Following that, police arrested and charged 35-year old Brampton resident Daniel Conrado.
Conrado was charged with three counts of fraud and two counts of use, deals and acts on forged document.
Investigators believe there may be more victims and would like the public to be aware of this investigation and the accused.
Anyone who has knowledge of similar incidents involving Conrado, or who have been victimized, are asked to come forward to their nearest police service.
