The Ontario government has found a way to let trick or treaters know whether you will be handing out candy this year.
With COVID-19, many people are on the fence whether they will take their kids out, people aren’t sure if they should give out candy, and those in COVID-19 hotspots – Toronto, Peel, York, and Ottawa- have been told not to.
Government officials say children that are trick or treating should wear a proper face covering and use hand sanitizer, while those handing out candy should use tongs.
The Ontario government has made available posters they have designed that people can print off to let kids know if they will be handing out candy or not this year.
They feature a pumpkin face and say either “Welcome Trick-or-Treaters” or “Sorry See You Next Year”.
