An Orangeville man has been charged with impaired driving after trying to get away from police.
Orangeville Police say they tried to stop the car at around 1:30am on Sunday on Bythia Street near Church Street.
They say the driver didn’t stop the car and fled northbound on Bythia Street at a high rate of speed.
Police followed the car to the parking lot of the 7-11 convenience store where it finally stopped.
Officers arrested the driver and charged the 35-year old with flight from police and impaired driving related offences.
