The Town of Caledon making it easier for residents to get a burn permit.
Property owners can now get a permit online in a newly updated online system.
Mayor Allan Thompson says residents want to access town services when it’s convenient for them, and this offers that 24/7 availability.
The online burn permit application has a new update to include two new categories.
Open Air permits ($42) are for larger lots (at least a half-acre in size) to burn yard waste (but not grass clippings or leaves)
Recreational permits ($25) are for residential properties that meet minimum size/distance requirements.
To apply for a burn permit visit caledon.ca/burnpermits.
The agricultural permits are not available online though as they require an inspection.
