ATV riders will now have the same ability to get to and from the trails as snowmobilers.
Shelburne Council passed a motion to allow riders travel on roads in town to be able to get from their home to the trails they wish to ride on.
Councillor Dan Sample raised the idea back in July of 2017 saying surrounding municipalities Melancthon and Amaranth have amended their by-laws already.
The planned amendment went before the Police Services Board which had no objections.
Mayor Ken Bennington said he has no problem with the amendment but said he hopes the operators respect the rules of the road.
