Colts Beat Generals in OT
James scores winner, Badenhorst with 24 saves against Eastern Conference leaders.
The Barrie Colts were victorious against the top team in the OHL's Eastern Conference.
Cordell James scored 32 seconds into overtime to give the Colts a 3-2 win over the Oshawa Generals on Thursday night.
Roy Radke and Ben Hawerchuk scored for the Colts 1:06 apart in the first period for a 2-0 lead.
Eric Henderson answered for the Generals with 2 minutes left in the period to cut Barrie's lead in half.
No scoring until the third when Domenic Commisso tipped in a shot from Henderson and it got through Ruan Badenhorst to tie the game up at 2-2.
James and Anthony Stefano both finished with 2 points while Badenhorst had 24 saves in net for the Colts (11-21-3-1).
Kyle Keyser made 35 saves for the Generals (22-11-2-2).
Barrie did not score on their only power play opportunity while Oshawa had a goal on 4 tries.
The next game for the Colts is Friday night when they travel to Mississauga to play the Steelheads.
