Some residents in Simcoe County are waiting longer and longer for their curbside waste to be picked up.
The County of Simcoe is apologizing for the ongoing waste collection delays.
They say their contractor Waste Connections continues to experience labour challenges, meaning they just don't have enough drivers on the road each day.
The County is prioritizing garbage and organics to help minimize delays, but that has led to delays with recycling.
Some residents are reporting recycling not getting picked up for a week or longer.
Officials say they're trying to get other waste collection companies to help fill empty routes, and are returning to delayed areas on Fridays and Saturdays.
