Two Impaired Drivers Arrested

Bolton | by Phil DeLand
Concerned citizens called OPP about a pair of impaired drivers last weekend.

Two impaired drivers were taken off the road thanks to calls from concerned motorists.

Caledon OPP were called at around 7:30am Saturday morning about a possibly impaired driver in the area of Coleraine Drive near Healey Road in Bolton.

They say they found the vehicle a short time later and conducted a traffic stop where the driver failed a breath test.

The Mount Albert man was arrested and charged with impaired driving and possession of cocaine.

Then on Sunday, officers were called to the area of The Gore Road and Mayfield Road about an unknown vehicle in a driveway with a possibly impaired driver.

Officers say when they arrived on the scene, they noticed the vehicle had extensive damage.

They charged the 51-year old Simcoe man with impaired driving and driving while suspended.

Officers later learned that the vehicle that the accused was driving was stolen from Peel Region earlier that day.

The suspect was later charged with one count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000.
