An overnight Amber Alert angered many Ontarians again.
At 3 am, an alert came through cellphones about a search for a missing grandfather and his grandsons.
The trio was found around 4:30 this morning, safe and sound.
The alert in the middle of the night though, prompted angry calls again to 9-1-1 from people not happy that it woke them up.
OPP would like to remind the public that calling 911 is not an appropriate venue to complain about it, and the decision to begin an Amber Alert is not taken lightly.
This year alone, as a direct result of the Amber Alert, children in at least four incidents were returned home safely.
The OPP says while it sometimes comes at an incovenient time, they will not apologize for using all of the tools available to help locate a child.
The only option to not receive these alerts to a mobile device, is to have your device turned off.
