Caledon | by Phil DeLand
A woman was airlifted to Toronto after hitting a deer in Caledon with her motorcycle.

One person was airlifted to hospital following a collision in Caledon this morning.

Peel Paramedics say the rider of the motorcycle collided with a deer on The Gore Road, near Finnerty Sideroad, shortly before 7 a.m.

They say the rider, believed to be a woman in her late 30's or early 40's, was taken by ORNGE Air Ambulance to Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto.

Authorities say she suffered significant but non-life-threatening injuries.

The Gore Road is closed between Finnerty and Coolihans sideroads.
